LAKME Eyeliner

Got these gorgeous eyeliners from India thanks to my lovely Mum!
They are called Lakme nine to five Defining Eyeliner.

Colors (top to bottom): 03 Jade, 07 Slate, 04 Sapphire 06 Purple

Love that they come in this kind of packaging. no need to sharpen!

Super creamy texture, glides right on! I also love how pigmented they are.
Awesome staying power as well.

Stay tuned for a look I will be doing using one (or two) of these eyeliners!! :)

Have a good one! :)

I draw inspiration from many things and one of the more dominant ones would be music. Music has been a part of life for as long as I can remember and it's been a very good companion through out my life. Whether a song makes me happy, sad, dance, sing my lungs out, a good song can really dig deep. So here are a few songs that have been on repeat on my iPod and hopefully they will inspire you as much as they have inspired me :) (they aren't listed in any specific order)

1. Friends and Lovers by Incubus
2. Modern Mystery by Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin (SSLYBY)
3. Walking on a dream by Empire of the Sun
4. Always Where I Need to Be by The Kooks
5. Undercover Martyn by Two Door Cinema Club
6. Eyes by Roge Wave
7. I'll Never Leave You- Rogue Wave
8.  Lasso by Phoenix
9. Me in You- Kings of Convenience
10. Daylight by Matt and Kim
11.  Parachute by Ingrid Michaelson
12. This is War by 30 Seconds To Mars
13. Paper Shoes - Incubus
15. Someone Like You - Adele

The last song by Adele has been such an LSS to me and my friends lately. Although it's quite sad, it's such a lovely song.

Hope you guys enjoy!
Have a good one :)

MOTIVES Workshop

MOTIVES is a  new line of cosmetics created by Loren Ridinger that is hitting the Philippines. It is favored by Hollywood celebs such as Eva Langoria, Kim Kardashian, and Jennifer Lopez, just to name a few.

I've heard about this product in some makeup tutorials that I watch on Youtube and I was really intrigued by it because the makeup guru's said that MOTIVES is a high quality product without the intimidating price tag. It is easily comparable to popular brands like MAC and NARS.

When my friend Liz invited me to a workshop that was hosted by MOTIVES, I immediately said yes without any second thoughts (I'm always excited to learn about a new product, specially if its makeup! :P). Liz and I went to the workshop together with our friend Roseanne. It was so much fun! And even though I've gone through makeup school, I still have so much to learn about the art of makeup. Can't wait :D

The workshop was held at the Fashion Academy of Manila in A-venue, Makati City, last Friday (Aug. 5, 2011)

Traffic was really bad on our way to Avenue...

...So we had to keep ourselves entertained  HAHA:))

Ms. Jenny DeCastro is a MOTIVES certified trainer and was our hostess for the day.
She was trained in the U.S. and has personally worked with the Hollywood stars I mentioned earlier. (LUCKY!)

our guest speaker was Ms. Dannica Sotto. She talked about MOTIVES skin care line called Skintelligence
and the importance of proper skin care. Judging by her flawless skin, it's not just the pregnancy that's giving her that lovely glow ;)

Here we have the Skintelligence Hydra Derm Deep Cleansing Emulsion, pH Skin Normalizer/toner, Facial Firming Mask, and the Cellular Perfecting Complex.

Taking care of our skin is VERY important and it cannot be emphasized enough. Although makeup can help cover up most skin imperfections, nothing beats having good skin! :) The Skintellegence skin care line is great for both men and women. Most of these products can also be used on different parts of the body!

Not only can you use The pH Skin Normalizer on the face, you can also use this to de-tangle your hair.

The Cellular Perfection Complex serves as an "anti-wrinkle serum" for the face and can also be used to moisturize cracked heels. I like this one because unlike other serums, its very light and is easily absorbed by the skin.

You are getting your money's worth ;)

Ms. Czari Nolasco was our guest makeup artist. Here she is working on Ms. Gila using MOTIVES products.

Ms. Jenny, Ms. Gila, and a very fierce Ms. Czari:p

I volunteered for Ms. Jenny to do a demo on me :p

Ms. Dannica working on Roseanne

Ms. Czari working on Liz

*drum roll please*

TADAAAA! Thank you for the make over ms. Jenny, ms. Dannica, and ms. Czari! :)

check out MOTIVES cosmetics at

The girls and I had so much fun at the workshop! We left with useful makeup tips and tricks and a new love for MOTIVES :) Thank you, Lizzie for inviting us!!

Hope you all have a blessed day! :)

OPI Shatter

I was so excited to try the new OPI SHATTER nail polish that my dear Mom got me from one of her flights to the U.S. I've been seeing it all over magazines and I really wanted to try them out because the shattered effect looked really cool :p

Black Shatter and Silver Shatter

I used the Black Shatter on top of this lovely green called "Let's Talk" from Sinful Colors.

Voila! I love the edgy effect it gives off

My sister used the Silver Shatter on top of a deep red, almost maroon color.

Just apply one coat of the Shatter nail polish on top of any regular nail polish. The Shatter nail polish literally "shatters" right in front of your eyes! It's really cool :p The Shatter polish dries up quickly and has a matte finish. It's best to put a top coat to make it last longer.

I'm not sure if we already have this in the Philippines but I have GREAT NEWS to you all!

please stay tuned for more details on how to order :D

Hope you all have a blessed Sunday!:)

Color Blocking: Eye Shadow

I was experimenting with my Catwalk Cosmetics palette some time ago and I wanted to do a fun, colorful, but subtle look that's wearable, specially during summer time. I know we've got a long way to go before summer comes rolling in but hey, summer exists all year round in my heart ;)

This is a very simple look that you can easily recreate yourself! :)

I just used the orange and pink eye shadows from my CW palette
and a bit of the silver in the inner corners of the eyes to add some sparkle :p

A bit of blush and a light shade of lipstick. Oh and don't forget the mascara!:)
I think I used Dr. Jart's BB cream as my foundation.
I wanted to retain the dewy look so I didn't apply powder on my entire face,
just on the T-zone area where I get really oily.

Would you wear this look for summer? Please don't hesitate to write me a comment! I'd love to hear your thoughts on this look :)

Thank you for dropping by! Have a good one :)
